Learn how to make beautiful ceramics with this brilliant evening course taught by Angus Grant

A short version of our popular Clay Club, this course will focus on handbuilding and help you develop a range of skills.

What you will learn

Starting out with basic handbuilding skills, you will move onto slab building. Angus will also show how to create beautiful decorative effects using sgraffito. And there will be a chance to glaze your pots, choosing from our selection of glazes. 

All tools are provided, along with source imagery for inspiration - though you are welcome to bring your images to work from.

Bring your own ideas and Angus will help you bring them to life. Previous students have made mugs, coffee pots, butterdishes and jewellery holders!

The cost of the course includes four pieces to take home. Any additional items to be fired will be charged at £10 per piece to cover firing costs.

This course will run on Tuesday evenings, from 7-9pm, starting on February 3. The final session will be on March 10.

Please note, there is no throwing on the wheel during this course.
