Susanna McLean is an interior designer based in Kingussie. She studied Fashion and Textile Design at Canterbury College of Art, gaining an understanding of colour texture and the body form. She particularly enjoyed textile design and went on to study interior design. Her career was spent mostly in London and the south-east of England until 2014 when she moved to the Highlands.

The lifestyle change offered more time for her art and Susanna has found the landscape and changing seasons are a major influence on her work. She walks with her sketchbook so that she can record what catches her eye and enjoys working en plein air, using the sketches as a source for her next work. Her main body of work is mixed media, but she also paints with oil, watercolour and pastels.
