Kyle Noble is an artist and art and design teacher at Grantown Grammar School. Having worked in the Cairngorms for more than five years, he has grown to love its woods, trails and views.

Noble’s work offers an alternative meditation on Scottish landscape painting. Research for his practice stems from a fanatical interest in exploring and documenting Scotland’s wild ecology and native woods.
These wandering expeditions have come to inspire works that explore a wild archaic Scottish landscape. While living in Taiwan, Hong Kong and China, Noble studied Chinese landscape painting and explored Asian aesthetics, techniques and materials.
