Kitty Watt was born in Sussex and moved to Aberdeenshire in 1981 after a spell in North Wales screen printing, also working as a commercial artist in London for a short time.

A weekend etching course taken by Beth Fisher at Peacock Printmakers in Aberdeen in 1986 changed everything. She says she found 'my thing' and loved etching from that moment. She has wrestling and learning about printmaking ever since.

Moving to a croft just outside John O'Groats with husband David in 1997 has provided a complete change of life and well as even more inspiration for her work.
