Chris Sharp
Chris Sharp has worked as a professional artist since 1983. He spent his early years in Africa and on returning to Aberdeen attended Robert Gordons School. On leaving school, he went to Aberdeen College of Commerce to study graphic design for two years, followed by Gray’s School of Art, where he studied sculpture and fine art for four years.
Chris's work reflects the beautiful Scottish landscapes and the wildlife that inhabits it. He specialises in the area of field sports and game fishing - in particular salmon fishing. His very impressive attention to detail, factual representation and fine workmanship is based on his keen personal interest in all of that which he paints. He is a keen fisherman and outdoor sportsman.
The inspiration for his paintings comes from the Scottish Highlands, where the unique light conditions produce beautiful atmospheric landscapes and backdrops that remain untouched by man.
Chris’s artwork gives the viewer a snapshot of a private, fleeting moment between nature and landscape, where the viewer is drawn into a picture and encapsulated by what they see.
