Carina's paintings are strongly
influenced by her Scandinavian roots but it’s the dramatic Scottish landscapes
that inspire her to paint. She spends a lot of time walking and being in nature and
her pieces are often based on memories or feelings of a place. Living in the
Cairngorms National Park and being surrounded by the wild landscape makes
painting a natural process and allows for a very immediate response when she go into the studio. She hopes that viewers will connect emotionally with her work.
